FAQ

Doesn’t my web host make backups of my site?

Some web providers do have backups, and most providers do at least one back-up a day for their own servers. This should always be your last line of defense, and if you’re not comfortable managing your own site’s data securely that’s where we come in.

Remember a back-up for a WordPress site has three parts: WordPress Core, WordPress Plugin, and your mySQL database. If you are not comfortable managing these highly sensitive components to your website our Bronze package is a great starting point. You can rest assured that as soon as we notice, or as soon as you reach out… your business won’t have to put on the brakes!

Can’t I run updates on my website on my own?

You can certainly make updates to your own site but be  forewarned that sometimes updates go awry and break the site, so you’ll need to be prepared to restore from a backup anytime you run updates. Also, not running updates creates security  risks that can eventually lead to malware or other hacker fun times.

My website is small, why should I worry about security?

Website size doesn’t matter. Whether your site is one page or twenty pages. The amount of time it will take you to recover from a hack or any other related issue, is precious time you should be spending providing for your customer, and letting us worry about your site’s security.

How do I contact you if something is wrong with my website?

Simply visit our Help Desk and open a support ticket.

What is a WAF firewall?

WAF (firewall) protection is a powerful security layer that blocks attacks before they can reach your site. It prevents infections and reinfections, specially on sites that are running outdated or insecure software. It includes a full web application firewall protection, virtual patching, IPS (intrusion prevention system) and log monitoring.

If I update my site and something breaks and I’m on a security plan is that covered?

No. If you’re on our security plan then we take care of all updates for you. If you succumb to the temptation to press the update button and the website breaks, then we’ll need to charge our normal hourly rate for technical support. So, take it easy and let us take care of it!

What if I decide I don’t want to be on a plan anymore?

Plans are month-to-month. You can cancel at any time.
