A simple yet elegant website for our cousin's Home Organizing business in São Paulo. A language switcher is built in so that site users can easily choose between English and Portuguese content.
Bill Walker for Governor
Life long Alaskan Bill Walker needed a website to help launch his campaign for governor of Alaska. To emphasize his message about the benefits to Alaskans for an All Alaska gasline, an animated map was created showing the location of a future gasline. Other key components of the site are the ability to receive online donations and sign up campaign volunteers online.
Moronell for Alaska Senate
Anchorage cardiologist Mark Moronell is a Republican candidate running for Alaska Senate, District P. Dr. Moronell needed a website to launch his campaign and inform voters of his position on the issues. His website also has the ability to accept online donations.
Alaska Gasline Port Authority
The redesigned Alaska Gasline Port Authority website gives the oganization a more contemporary look, including a subtle header animation that emphasizes the benefits of the project for Alaskans. Content was revised and reorganized to be more succinct and user friendly so that site viewers, as well as search engines, can quickly find the information they seek.
Copper Valley
Copper Valley wanted an updated, dynamic website focused on marketing their services to Valdez and the Copper River Valley. A secondary goal was to provide additional services to coop members so an events calendar and a classified ad section were added. Because many of CV's customers live in rural Alaska, accessibility was of utmost concern. This site was developed and tested with all notable browsers to accommodate changes in text size, provide alternative text for those with accessibility issues, and use only standards compliant CSS.
The Tatitlek Corporation
One of Alaska's top 49 businesses, The Tatitlek Corporation is a highly successful, native owned company. Our new, professional website brought their online presence up-to-speed with their fast-paced success, helping them to effectively market their image and products.
KCHU Terminal Radio, Inc.
The newly redesigned KCHU website features not only streaming radio but also the addition of podcasts and an online donation area. With these tools, KCHU can deliver local radio shows to podcasters and online listeners, as well as easily accept donation payments online, helping them to increase overall donation income.
The Historic Valdez Dock Company B&B
Cute and affordable, this website is a perfect example of our Internet Business Card option. Consisting of just one page, it is a low-cost alternative for those who want a web presence but who aren't ready to invest in a standard website. This site also features a PayPal button that allows the bed and breakfast to receive deposits without having to lift a finger.
Nash Ranch
A fun, family oriented website and a huge improvement over the late 90's look of their old design. We really wanted to create a sense of playfulness, which we were able to do with a bit of vector drawing and a Flash animated dog that greets the viewer with the wag of his tail. As Nash Ranch is located in Redding, California, all project planning was handled online and on-time, due to the tight deadline imposed by the inescapable pumpkin season.
EagleQuest Cabins & Lodge
A new business located just outside Willow, Alaska, EaqleQuest Cabins & Lodge was looking for both its first logo and its first website. Using the ideas and photos provided by the owners as a starting point, the final designs have a clean but quaint feel, emphasizing their commitment to good business and the natural beauty of the locale. All pages are hand coded strictly according to Web 2.0 standards, which will assure that the basic structure site will be up-to-date for years to come. And careful attention was given to cross browser testing so that this site not only looks great but functions perfectly in any browser.
TekMate
Growing so quickly that their website wasn't keeping up with their expanding services, TekMate's website was not only completely out-of-date but also needed a graphic design makeover to give them a look which better reflects their company's dynamism and success. A Flash header gives the site some movement without distracting from the content. The navigation, also in Flash, is both fun and easy to use. Using CSS and PHP to separate content from styling and function, TekMate's website is clean, lightweight and definitely up-to-date.
Valdez Fish Derbies
A highlight of the summer, the halibut and silver salmon derbies are a big attraction for both local and out-of-state tourists. Having long outgrown their old site, derbies' promoter, Valdez Fish Derbies, was in need of a new look that is both more user-friendly and more professional. Sound Web Solutions, LLC. reformatted all of the content and created a new, standards based layout using CSS and also created a PHP based template system to reduce file size and make updating a breeze. Key information was moved to the homepage, emphasizing key marketing messages in order to encourage more participation in the derbies. Information on Valdez was also added in a new navigational section in order to make the site more useful to users. All in all, Valdez Fish Derbies' new site now both functions better and looks great!
Denali Orthopedics
Previously subsisting on a very basic and terribly inefficient website, Denali Orthopedics needed an online presence which more accurately reflected the professional nature of the Valley based office. With simple but elegant graphic design, text reformatting, and the addition of a new catch phrase, Denali Orthopedics' site was transformed into a product that they can be proud to have represent their business. A simple secure area was also added in order to provide doctors an easy, but private, means of accessing important documents. This site is a testament of how much better a company can look online with just a basic redesign.
Lake House Bed & Breakfast
Recently awarded the Four Bell Establishment Award for site excellence based on ease of use, browser capability, and loading time, this lovely Valdez B&B site provides functionality with grace and beauty. SWS's new graphic design and rewritten content reinforce the inviting atmosphere of the B&B as well as its breathtaking surrounding views. Previous issues regarding reservation and information requests were also resolved via a customized online form (using PHP) which lays out relevant information in an easy to read manner and submits requests in a concise email delivered directly to the main email account.
Valdez Nordic Ski Club
The Valdez Nordic Ski Club needed a simple website to inform members of club activities and provide information about skiing in Valdez. With fun, winter inspired graphic design and lightweight, standards compliant code, this site provides an attractive and informative web presence for the club.
